The umbrella firm of British Airways, IAG, confirmed it had secured an agreement with the satellite firm to offer wifi coverage on more than 500 aircraft operated by their airlines, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.

Smooth Connectivity starting at Gate to Arrival

British Airways noted that the implementation of this service was included in a multi-billion pound “transformation” plan and will deliver smooth connectivity access for travelers starting at the gate through arrival, even when they are flying over oceans or far-off locations.

Passengers may connect multiple devices and do not require a separate login.

Basic wifi service is currently provided for British Airways passengers on the majority of the airline's planes using its .air service.
