Chopper Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline

A helicopter flying over a well-attended coastal beach suddenly commenced twirling wildly, finally dropping height and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers observed.

Recordings shared on social media depict the helicopter commencing to spiral above the beach then descending near the border of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.

Emergency Response Update

The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were taken to hospital involving two who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.

Three persons on the street were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.

The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
